MVFN’s Annual Spring Nature Paddle

Sunday, June 21

Canonto Lake (just off the north-western edge of Lanark County)

Car Pooling Points:
Eastern Lanark-Meet at Union Hall, for 8:30 A.M. departure.
Western Lanark-Hopetown, 8:45 A.M.

Bring lunch, sun screen, bug juice, camera, binocs etc.

Please register for this event by calling or e-mailing Cliff at 613-256-5013 .

If you need a partner for your canoe or don’t have a canoe and want to partner with someone who does, ask when registering and Cliff will do his best to match you up .

As this is our first canoe/kayak trip of the new season, please check your equipment to ensure you have spare paddle, life jacket, heaving line, bailing bucket and emergency whistle.

Note: In case of foul weather, this event will be cancelled. If in doubt, call Cliff before 8:00 A.M. on Sunday morning.

Next MVFN Canoe/Kayak Outing

The second MVFN Canoe/Kayak outing will be Sunday, July 6. We will travel the Tay River from Bolingbroke to Christie Lake.

Note: this is not a site marked on our Canoe/Kayak Guide. Instead please see the description posted under ‘canoe journeys’ on this website.

Meeting places for carpooling are: -east half of Lanark meet at Union Hall, corner County Rds. 9 and 16
for departure by 8:45 A.M.  – For west half of Lanark meet at Tay Valley Municipal Offices, north of traffic lights at Glen Tay and Highway 7, west of Perth for departure 9:15 A.M.

Bring: lunch, bug juice, sun screen, binocs etc. Please be sure your canoe/kayak has all of the regulation safety devices.
