MVFN Birding Committee presents: Point Pelee National Park Trip
Think Spring!!! Think the Best Birding Place in North America!!!
This will be a 4-day trip by bus to Point Pelee National Park to see first-hand the hundreds of thousands of spring birds migrating through that area. Some of the amazing birds we may see are summer tanager, Lincoln sparrow, Carolina and marsh wren, gnatcatcher, red-headed and red-bellied woodpeckers, various terns and gulls, orchard oriole, Northern mockingbirds and a great variety of warblers.
Date: Departure Monday, May 4, 2015 and return late evening Thursday, May 7, 2015.
Details: We will be staying at Pelee Motor Inn, right at the Park’s doorstep. Â The bus will be a modern 26-passenger vehicle from Healey Motor Coach Transportation.
Participants will share costs for the bus, driver, and admissions etc., i.e. Â approximately $200 per person, based upon 26 participants.
Participants will pay costs for their own rooms, meals, gratuities, etc. Room costs for three days are approximately $500 including taxes, double occupancy. Single persons may be accommodated and single supplement may apply.
Trip leader is noted local birder and MVFN President Cliff Bennett.
