MVFN November Nature Walk 2008

MVFN November Nature Walk

Explore the Indian River Gorge

Date: Sunday, Nov. 9, 2008

Place: Cliff Bennett’s property, 1772 Clayton Road, Mississippi Mills.

Time: arrive by 10:30 A.M.

This is a short but rather rugged ramble up to the gorge to examine the rock formations, ferns and trees in this unique river valley. See one of the oldest yellow birch trees in the area. Learn about some early pioneer industries at the site.

We can probably accommodate most cars in the yard but some may have to park on the road and walk in to the house. Bring a lunch, binoculars and a magnifying glass. Dress for the weather, wear good hiking shoes or boots.

All MVFN members and friends welcome. For more information, contact cliff at 613.256.5013 or bennett@magma.ca.
