We apologize for the delayed registration, but the second event of the season is ready to go. Please register ASAP
Leader: Art Solomonian
- Take Hwy. 7 past Carleton Place to Country Road 15 and turn right towards Lanark. Travel 10 km to Fergusons Falls
- From Perth, take Country Rd. 511 to Balderson, turn east onto Drummond Conc 8A and onto Prestonvale Rd. to Country Rd. 15 and east to Fergusons Falls
- Park beside Fergusons Falls Community Hall. Carry your vessel to the river behind.
Time: Scheduled departure is 10:00 am. Trip duration is an estimated 3-4 hours return, plus lunch at the turn near Mel’s Campgrounds but is weather dependant.
Difficulty: Upriver only. Be cautious of rapids near the launch. Excellent wetlands for water birds, herons and passerines. Watch for river otters. Lunch at boat launch near Mel’s Campgrounds.
Bring: lunch, lots of water, bug juice, binoculars, sunscreen, etc.
Ensure you are equipped with life jacket, bailing bucket, whistle, heaving line, extra paddle, etc.

Please complete a separate form for each participant (see “Submit additional responses” when you submit the form) as we need the “agree” to the waiver from each person.
Safety: Due to no car pooling and other Covid-19 related restrictions, we have to return by the same route. During the trip, all participants are requested to maintain minimum 2-metre distancing from other paddlers (outside their bubble).
