Annual MVFN Autumn Field Trip

This fall we will visit the Darling Spillway (9 km NE Clyde Forks), the valley of a glacial river highlighted by Dr. Keddy in his presentation at our 2011 Spring Gathering. Part of this area is an Area of Natural and Scientific Interest and contains the gorgeous turquoise Napier Lake with special shoreline plants, spectacular kettle ponds, and maple forest.

Meeting time & location:
 Car Pooling:  East: Union Hall [intersection of County Rd. 16 (Wolf Grove Rd.) and County Rd. 9 (Tatlock Rd.)] for departure at 9:00 a.m.  West: Hopetown General Store for departure by 9:30 a.m.
 Bring: lunch, binoculars, notebook, hat, camera and dress for the weather
 Note: If the weather is bad the event will be cancelled. Call Cathy before 8:30 a.m. on Sunday to confirm the status of this walk.
