Learn about this rare ecosystem that sits on our doorstep with Shaun Thompson of the MNR.  We’ll also visit the site of a forest fire to see how the forest has regenerated over the past 3 years.  We will meet below the Lanark County “What A Life” sign on the north side of Highway 44/49, just east of Golden Line Road at 9:30 a.m.  We’ll end at 11:30 a.m. or so and those wishing to end the walk with a picnic lunch are welcome.  Event Update and photos

(Indoor/Outdoor Event):  Streamside Study at the Mill of Kintail
Help support ArtsFusion and Interval House by enjoying a day of activities at the Mill of Kintail.  Wander through photo exhibits, listen to poetry readings, bring a picnic lunch and participate in a streamside study with Mike Yee.  There is a small fee to be paid at the gate with all proceeds going to this good cause.

(Outdoor Event):  Tour Lanark’s Community Forests.
Join us, two foresters, and an ecologist, in identifying unusual features and enjoying the gorgeous scenery.  Bring your lunch and meet at Union Hall at 8:30 a.m. to car pool to the Lavant block.  We’ll lunch at Robertson Lake and be back at Union Hall by 3.00 p.m.  Full Details
